About the Chargers

The Lake Wylie High School Band Program is built on a foundation of excellence, community, and opportunity. As the inaugural band program for the new Lake Wylie High School, we are creating more than just an ensemble — we are building a culture where students grow as musicians, leaders, teammates, and people.

Rooted in the philosophy of “People First. Excellence Always.”, the Lake Wylie Band Program is committed to developing character and lifelong relationships through music education. Students will experience high-level instruction, meaningful performance opportunities, and a supportive environment that challenges them to achieve their personal best both on and off the field.

The program will include marching band, concert ensembles, percussion, color guard, chamber groups, and spirited performances that serve the school and surrounding community. Members will have opportunities to perform at football games, competitions, concerts, community events, and regional experiences while representing the Charger tradition with pride.

Led by an experienced staff with championship-level success in music education and performance, the Lake Wylie Band Program is designed to inspire passion, discipline, creativity, and teamwork. From first notes to final performances, every student will play an important role in shaping the identity and legacy of this new program.
